When SourceHOV and Novitex merged in the first quarter of the year, we were unsure what benefits there might be for Novitex’s legal customers. As we revisit this topic, we find there are additional offerings that are sure to be of interest.
From what we’ve learned, the merger resulted in Novitex and SourceHOV combining their services which are now bundled under the Exela Managed Services umbrella. The merger married the existing Novitex offerings with SourceHOV services, including SourceHOV’s legal & litigation services. Exela Technologies now boasts 98% of the AmLaw 100 as customers.
Here’s how the new company offerings break down:
Former Novitex offerings, now under Exela Managed Services:
Business process automation & recovery services
Communication management

What this means for you
For the existing Novitex customer, this means there are now additional, legal-specific services available from this merger.
What to do now
Novitex customers can still expect to utilize all their usual service offerings under the new Exela umbrella and we’re told it will be business as usual. If you have contract- or service-specific questions, we’re told your current Novitex contacts and management structure are still in place and available to address whatever concerns you have.
Staffing changes
We also learned John Visentin, Novitex CEO, has stepped down and will be working in an advisory role during the transition. Michelle Tierney’s role has expanded to Executive Vice President. In addition to her former duties, she is now also responsible for all company operations and delivery.
To get more information
Exela will continue to convey updated information when it’s available. If you have questions in the meantime, your current Novitex representative is expected to be able to provide additional details.
As we receive more information on this merger, we’ll post it here.
