President of Mattern & Associates, Rob Mattern, Selected to Speak at IFMA Facility Fusion, Las

CHADDS FORD, PA – March 22nd, 2017 – Legal support services consulting firm Mattern & Associates, LLC announces company president Rob Mattern will be leading two speaking sessions at the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Facility Fusion April 4th – 6th at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas. Rob will present “Your Back Office Can Be Your Front Line,” detailing how law firms tackle traditional areas of outsourcing and make them more cost-effective and efficient on April 5th at 3:15 PM; on April 6th at 9:00 AM, Rob will present, “What To Do If Your Outsourcing Engagement Is Not Working,” outlining concrete steps to take when an outsourcing vendor fails expectations.

As the demand for legal services remains flat, many firms are investigating options to help improve services, manage costs while increasing expertise and efficiency. Outsourcing has been on the rise, according to the 2016 Mattern & Associates Cost Recovery Survey, with 70% of law firms outsourcing a portion of their back office and 45% considering outsourcing some middle office function.  Still, some firms remain concerned about losing management control, lack of communication and quality of work.

Rob will explore the pro’s and con’s of outsourcing.  On April 5th, Rob presents “Your Back Office Can Be Your Front Line” at 3:15 pm, discussing proactive ways firms can position their back-office services, including:

  1. How to take traditional areas of outsourcing and make them more cost-effective and efficient

  2. What new areas should be reviewed and considered for outsourcing

  3. Understanding the importance of recovering costs for building revenue

On Thursday, April 6th Rob will present, “What To Do If Your Outsourcing Engagement Is Not Working” focusing on key terms to secure in order to achieve a successful engagement, plus:

  1. The steps to take if your outsourcing vendor is not performing up to your expectations

  2. Learning about financial penalties and the management of transitioning to different vendors, if needed
